today i was at school doing some study...i got a wierd contact apeared on my phone said "hello sexy"..i press yes then it said contact
accepted, then i got a set of number appeared in my phone book...the
name is"hello sexy" the phone number itself was 69#69#69...which i have no idea wat that means. and in the next 10 minutes i kept on getting msgs which were something like "i am watching you", " i like that white shirt ur wearing" (i was wearing a white shirt). I aslo tried to press "No" then a msg says "card rejected" appeared on the screen. The most scary thing happened next. i got only 1 number stored on my phone, the sim card is empty and i got a sms from that number said "i like that girl on your phone" (i had my girlfriend's picture stored on my phone) and it's also has something like vcard v2.1 at the end of this message. This means this person can access my phone (i dunno how) and had a good look inside my phone and used my friend's number to send me a sms. (because the person who has this number was actually sitting right next to me when this happened, and he didnt send this). i was wondering was this done by the bluetooth on my phone? (my phone is t68i)

that is wierd! started off like someone had logged you on to one of those crap texting services but don't know!  phone ur service provider and see what they say it cant be bt can it?
edit: did u have bluetooth activated whn it happened?

Question: is your Bluetooth set on discoverable all the time?
If so: you were blue jacked. For any info: read the thread 'I did something naughty today' and meet the ppl that do this all the time 
Also: my guess is they cannot access your phone, but were perhaps sitting behind or above you and could see your screen.

1st. my bluetooth was on automatic
2nd. i was sitting at a corner and the phone was in my pocket all the time.
3rd. is it possible to send someone a contact without showing sender's number?
4th. the main concern is this guy can use a number stored in the phone to send the phone an sms.

Theres no way somebody can access files on your phone. My guess is it must have been somebody who knew that the photo is there, and maybe even knew yor friend's number. There are some sms gateways (even on wap) that let you choose sender number. The bluetooth automatic setup part suprised me. Thought u ain't discoverable on automatic....
And yes, u can send v-card without showing ur number. Only BT phone name appears.

Mkt is right,i suspect u've been bluejacked by someone who knows u and they just aint saying anything,try and discover their phone and jack em back! :-D

Before someone can access your files through bluetooth your phones have to be paired so it must be someone who has paired with your phone in the past. Even so being set to automatic doesn't make the phone discoverable. Only nokia phones notably the 7650 are always discoverable hence are often bluejacked but the only thing that they can send when not paired are vcards and pictures, and ringtones

I think I know how this was done. My friend can send txts from any number he wants, he always winds me up by sending me txts from other peoples numbers and when i reply to these people it just makes me look stuuupid.
An internet service allows you to do this. I have a feeling that the person doing this to you is someone close to you and knows what your g/f looks like and is just winding you up.
So take it easy. I will get the web address from where you can do this. Now dont panic but this can also be done for e mail addresses so for example I can send e mails to others via your e mail address. heehee  PM me your e mail address and i will send u a e mail from your own address making it look like your account has been hacked. |

I am trying to get hold of my friend to tell me the address of the website from which you can send txts from but here is the website you can use to send e mails from other peoples addresses.
Warning: there are clear warnings on this website that if you send rude of obscene e mails you can be prosecuted.

they can  jack u but no way in hell can they access the data u haf on the phone.....unless u haf given the other party specific instructions or haf authorised them in a way.....remember, both the enabled devices need to be paired........

i would suggest that u don't use that manicmail site AT ALL. anonymous mail is easy to send using sendmail, its also easy to trace. these sites usually just exist to collect email addresses to sell to advertising (spam) companies. so if i was u i wouldnt touch them (unless you like tons of spam in your inbox). |

I'm sorry but i have to disagree, you don't need to put your own e mail address in to send e mails to others.
You simply fill in the section: Email FROM: and Email TO:
and thats it. So Manic mail has no idea what my e mail address is. Now if you mean that the party you are sending the mail to might receive junk mail, well do you really care? lol |
