Well last month i bought the Sony Ericsson T68i. It's one hell of a phone but aftar 2 weeks a problem started accuring. When i call a person he can't hear me and i cannot hear the person. When i went in the service sectret menu and on the microphone test it makes a pop sound then a shhh sound. It seems fine there. I don't know what's wrong. I took it to 4 mobile service shops and all 4 of them told me they cannot detect the problem. Has anyone been through this or know what's happened? but these shops don't specialise on Sony Ericsson tough.Just wanted to say that maybe they don't have the tools to fix it. Dunno. I'll really appreciate it guys if you post a reply and tell me what the problem is or what can i do
Thanks,

it pretty easy to fix. it happens a lot also. it can be fixed or broken if the fone is dropped or hit. if you can open the fone yourself (just need a torx 6 screwdriver) the mic is found on the left low corner and it has two contacts parrallel to each other that fit in the main board when the fone i closed. just slightly push em out a bit towards the board and that should do it

when adjusting the volume during a call, is the volume bar at 0/0 even if you try to raise the volume? have you tested using a handsfree?

Yes, it is on 8/8. On full. And i'm going to try the hands free kit.
The phone doesn't want to detect the camera and the data cable either!
The phone looks really cheap! When it's in the dark yo can see the light comming out from the middle of the phone! The volume key is wobbly and the joystick comes loose! this is a shitty phone!
God what was i thinking?
everyone is having problems with sony ericssons!
Not a good phone! |

Anybody knows how i can fix it PLEASE? I'm from Malta, It's a small island in the middle of the Meditarranean sea. Does anybody know if there are any Sony Ericsson Agents on this island or maybe can give me some help to where i can send it to fix it?
Thanks guys,

Actually, I have the problem with 0/0 on my phone that was asked a couple posts ago. After searching around a bit, someone mentioned it's a software problem. Can anyone confirm this?
Also, if it is a software problem, will upgrading the firmware "fix" this along with the upgrade process? I believe I have a relatively old phone (purchased in Hong Kong when it first came out), so I've always wanted to upgrade to a new firmware, and thought this might kill two birds with one stone.
Thanx.

i agree with u jipstar it looks like a cheap phone but it is actually a good phone when i bought my t68i i couldn't access the connections or wap menu because it would just freeze so i sent it to an phone repair shop they gave me another phone (t68i) and it worked for a few days then the backlight stopped working i sent it to them again and they just sent it back and didn't repair it at all so i sent a letter to se asking them for a remanafactured t68i and 5 weeks later i got a remanafactured phone, so far it is perfect fine and works in every way. u should just give the phone a chance and demand a replacement.
by the way is your phone still under warranty
