I'm sorry guys but lets face it*.

SE is not that popular any more where are the old days??
Do you remember when wi first saw t68 we were so proud but now we have nothing!even t610 didnt help.
other companies are making so many nice mobiles and we are still waiting and hoping that SE is gonna do something but all we get is disapointments WHY?
We deserve better SE deserves better dont you think so?
but lets face it se is losing more and more...

t610 is nice but not enough good "little memory"and many other things which is missing!
P800 was great for a while but not any more its too big hard to use
its time for SE to make a move dont you think so?
or else i'm sorry guys i will leave SE i hope you dont misunderstand me
i'm just realistisk why were we interested in Ericsson at the beginning it was because high technology right?
what do we have now?let me say that NOTHING!!
nothing special any more
i'm sure you have seen some other rivals especially siemens SX1 its coming in 3 months so within 3 months i will wait and hope SE makes a mobile even better so i can stay with SE.

At the title i said "Se is losing popularity so as Esato!!"
its because Esato is based on SE phones and when SE is missing market share and gets less popular it effects Esato also!!!
lately there was nothing interesting on Esato why is that?
because we dont get any good news from Se and people is not that busy with Esato any more.

with best regards.

its not about the features, what makes nokia big is the desing of the phones. most people like it, but other like me don't.
is only 1 year and a half old, don't forget that.

i would have to agree...where are the days of the t68/i?!?!?!? those were great times. one of a kind colour phone, no other like it! 8310?!? ha!
the p800 was delayed too long that's why!, but even then companies nowadays are in the game as well.

like all things, everything changes but memories! those last forever...the future however, yet to be written and lived!

You are way off, Masmes, what have you been smoking...? I belive SE really has hit it's peak with the P800, the most advanced high-tech device available to day, popular as hell, selling like crazy. And Esato, I think, right no is bigger than ever, and growing each day. You better pull your head out of the sand mate!

Well.. I don't agree with you. As I see it there are no phone that can compete with the T610. The T610 has almost everything except for a speakerphone. But other than that it's the most feature packed phone presented so far by any manufacturer.

The Siemens SX1 competes with Nokia 3650, 7650 and SE P800, and in this class the P800 wins hands down.

I think SE's product line is looking very good right now. And they are selling very well.

Things the T610 is missing:

- Memory stick
- More memory
- Speakerphone

But my god, people!! It's NOT meant to compete with the P800! It's designed to go against the 7250-class phones, and in that division it'll win!!!

I think SE is finally starting to get smart marketing-wise. SE is coming out with a couple of strong models (T610, T310, P800 and even T100) which they can exploit in the long run (just like T68i).

Nokia on the other hand is bringing out new models at a pass that is way to fast. They are gaining in technology but at what cost. I mean if I’d bought a 7210 I’d be pretty pissed of at Nokia for bringing out the 7250 a few months later for the same price as I’d bought my 7210.

And what about the 7650 owners? You just bought a brick cause it was the most advanced phone Nokia had to offer, and now a Consumer model with the same functions is passing you by (7250) memory wise.

Take it from me the T610 will be the most advanced phone for at least the next 4 months after it's release (and in telecom land that’s a lot). And the P800 for at least 6 (only phone you can browse the web with), perhaps even longer when SE starts implementing hardware updates.

It's funny how everyone becomes a financial forecaster for these companies. SE is doing damn well with the P800, it did very well with the T68. It won't sell like nokia cause nokia has a bigger market share. If there's anyone SE should be worried about it's not nokia, but other companies like samsung, motorola and Siemens who are slowly gaining popularity over SE. Not to worry though, one can never predict the volatility of markets to the full extent.

There is one good reason why SE is loosing at this moment. Nokia brings phones on the market, 4 phones at 1 time, This is shit you know because they are all the same, except the design. This why Nokia is so popular.
SE has combined all great features in one phone.

Your right about Nokia not being the biggest threat. But if you take al closer look at the Samsung marketing it's doomed tot fail. They have to many (radically different) models coming out. Remember back in the day Samsung only launched four phones a year and the price level remained (artificially) at a high level?

Well, those days are over, no more exploiting the A300. People who bought the latest Samsung phone 2 moths ago can buy a second one halved priced. To many models means more production costs and a shorter product life cycle = less profit per phone.

And Motorola kinda sucks in the consumer department (design is really yuk) although the V600 is a winner in my book. Siemens seems to have a clear set marketing strategy and are going strong in my book. As for Panasonic, Sharp, Sendo etc. they have to little marketshare to be a real competitors this point in time.

We have to take note that the rankings are based on total handheld units sold from ALL systems:gsm, tdma, cdma, iden, wcdma.Nokia is strong in gsm.samsung is strong in cdma since korea is a cdma market. Back to SE,give it more time to evolve.1.5 years is too early. SE still is technically superior to nokia. Also, even if the t68 is quite matured(not OLD),it is still very advanced. It is how much value we put in our phone that makes it memorable and rich no matter the unit.the t68i is still far frm memory lane!

to me, nokia is like a japanese car..nice and cheap and all.. but with so many models being churned out. probably difficult to get the spare parts after sometime because they get outdated so easily.

SE is like the european cars, lesser models produced. products that grows in you after sometime. smaller and more dedicated and faithful consumer base.

Honestly, i don't case if SE becomes popular or unpopular. I choose my phone based on its features, brand and popularity is at the bottom of my list. Esato is indeed an SE centrc site, and Its popularity somewhat depend on the SE brand, but what makes this site click is not exactly SE but its community of users (don't you notice that the non-se forum is not exactly dead?)

....and the t610 is not really out yet, i mean hundreds of people will surely try it out, it would work for some, then again not for others.
