Hi, following on from the success gomichaelkgo had with the Yahoo POP/SMTP mail post has anyone had experience in setting up the same email access for Freeserve in the UK?

I'm connected to VodafoneGPRS, but stuck on whether to setup data account with Freeserve's number or Vodafones GSM data number, plus all the IP numbers!? Tried the FS help pages but no help. They did have settings for R380 which I thought might be similar but apparently not

I think its best to use the Vodafone number mainly because a Voda to Voda call is max 12p a min. A friend can connect to his Freeserve account using T68 email facility. He uses dial up to the Vodafone number.

Well at least I know it's possible, thanks

Any chance of posting the various settings (server, IPs etc.) needed to get the FS mail working?

...to get/send your freeserve email, you'll have to set another vodafone gprs data account on the t68 with a different APN id...leave pop3 and smtp servers as pop.freeserve.net & smtp.freeserve.net...make sure that your 'mailbox' is your full freeserve login i.e. you.freeserve.co.uk, you.fsbusiness.co.uk etc...
