Does anyone know when this is out for the P800?
Somewhere down the line, I read it would be april?
I did send a little email to UIQ directly, and was told 2003... that's a big help... not. |

I read somewhere that it would be due in week 14, that would be now.

I just talked to SE support in Sweden!
They told me that UIQ 2.1 will be out this or next week...

Do you know if it will be a downloadable upgrade or a service center upgrade?
I just tried SE support in the UK. They are a Joke! There didn't even know what UIQ was!!

I called the SE service centre near me in Barnet, North London. They have an upgrade available now but they said that it would be a couple of weeks before the UIQ 2.1 upgrade would be available. I will wait until that is released before upgrading. They have a 24hr turnaround for flashing the phone.

I actually asked a contact I have within SonyEricsson.
There will probably be a new SW version due in week 17. What I know it will have is fullscreen video and pictures and MP3 playback in Closed flip mode.
There's more, I just can't remember what it was.
I would not expect it to be UIQ 2.1. |

UIQ is the frontend and applications that sit on top of the Symbian operating system, which is used on the P800.

Forgive me, I'm new to this platform but what exactly does 2.1 offer tha the firmware i have not? I understand updates, of course, but that 2.1 GUI looks awful! |
