Hi people i have an old Ericsson t28z phone and i got the unlock code from my phone provider T-Mobile. Heres the bad newz i used up all my trys on the unlock thing to unlock your phone. Rite now i have 0 tries but i have the key sitting right here on my desk. Anybody know how to get those tries back by pressing a sequence of keys or something.
Again i am not looking to unlock my phone just reset it so i can have more chances to unlock it. |

When you say you are unlocking, do you mean the phone or the sim?
If you get the phone unlock wrong too many times you will need to enter the PUK, I am assuming this is what has happened.
If you enter the PUK code wrong 10 times you will fry the SIM card and have to order a new one.
As for getting more chances at getting it right, I dont think there is a way to do that, too much of a security risk.
Be careful and I'd suggest you ring your carrier. |

you mean unlock the SIM right? The phone itself has unlimited tries for unlocking... it's the SIM that has 10 tries... then it self-destructs. You'll have to return it to your provider for a new one. |

No the ericsson phone has like some built in protection.
Basically this is what i did on my t28z.
Pressed < * * < and went to the networking menu. There are like 4 things, Network, Network SUb, SP, and Business or something like that. The Network one was the one that was locked and that was the one that i did too many tries on. I called up T-mobile and they gave me the unlock code for the phone but i used up all my chance. Is there a way i can reset the number of trys or unlock the phone a different way.
It is not like the way that Nokia unlocks its phone like u need ur sim in their this can work without a sim.
I heard i gotta like do something to the EEPROM or something like that.
Anybody got any more idea sooo desperite |
