Don't hold me to it, but I remember reading in another post about a guy who called tech support regarding a similar problem. If I remember correctly, the tech described a procedure to remove the sim and then replacing it near your home tower. Doing so tells the sim to use the nearby tower as the default.
I may be totally off base here, but that is what I remember. Can anyone else provide some clarification please?
Call T-mobile and maybe they can describe the procedure to you.
