Okay, first of all, what software do i need besides the CD included with the EPoX dongle? I have v 1.2.2.9. I keep reading information that conflicts. ive read that all you need is the epox software and thats it. but when i go to send a picture to my phone (via right clicking and selecting 'send to') i get a 'can not connect to device, closing FTP connection' does my phone even support FTP?

When i go to my bluetooth window, it says 'no services found'. i have paired the PC and phone as well.
i am using win XP pro.

im so lost.

I was once in exactly the same situation as you. I have an Epox dongle and use WinXP Pro. This is how to get evrything working, including sending files to your phone directly from Explorer using Bluetooth:
(I have adapted this from this topic, you can go there if you like to check out how to play with Bluetooth audio, but I have simplified the Installation instructions and removed anything that isn't relevant to an Epox dongle user.)
    Download these files:
  • Modified Epox drivers
  • Widcomm software
  • TDK Drivers

    Software installation:
  • Install actusb.exe

    Drivers installation:
  • Unzip tdk1.3.2.7.zip to C:tdk
  • Unzip C:data1.cab to C:tdkdata1
  • Open 0a12_1.rar; Copy btwusb.inf to C:tdkdata1 & C:windowsinf
  • Plug in the dongle; Installation wizard launches
  • Install specifying driver location
  • Set C:tdkdata1 for driver location
    Installation is Complete!

    Sending files from Windows Explorer
  • Load Explorer & find the file.
  • Right click -> "Send To" -> "Bluetooth". If you have paired your phone with your PC, it will already be there, but dont click on it, click "Other".
  • This will bring up a "Select Device" box and your phone may already be in the list, if not click "Find Devices..." Once it is in the list, select it and click "OK".
  • This will then "Discover services available on your phone" and start to send the file.
  • Accept the file by pressing "Yes" on your phone. You only have to go into the "Select Device" menu each time you restart Explorer. If you want to send another file straight away, just click on your phone in the "Send to" -> "Bluetooth" list.
  • All done!

Let me know how you go. I hope this works for you the same way it did for me. You should now also be able to send files from your T68i to your PC, just by selecting the file on your phone, then pressing "Send" -> "Via Bluetooth".
