You can use an mp3 if you encode it to a WAV file but you will considerably increase the file size, so you need to cut it down to the bit you want, then convert to WAV and hey presto.

dazbradbury is right

if i use a mp3 as ringtone i convert it to wav and then cut it to about 30sec's and make the file realy low quality so it ven smaller ive been able to get a mp3 to wav at only 300KB at 27 Secs long

Thanx guys, surely im not the only one who thinks SE missed a trick here. Im lucky 2 have software 2 convert mp3s to loud low quality wavs, but not everyone has...

Unfortunatly my pc is running Windows 98 so i cant use the p800 software or docking station

Guess im gonna have 2 look for a shop with wav previews of the latest dance trax.... thanx anyway...

@last poster. Sorry but those replies kinda annoy me.

Im sorry but this web site is specifically designed to viewed over mobile internet. Im going to ask the question instead of spending more money searching a forum which may not have an answer.... infact the question i asked seems very common. Everyone i know with a p800 asks it.

You may of had your phone 3 days before me and knew the answer to my query.... Good for you, but i didnt know the answer, and nor will a lot of other people who purchase a p800. If i was at home on a PC i would search.

So instead of wasting everyones time and ordering everyone to "do a search", try and add to the thread or actually HELP someone in a thread???

Go on, you'll get that warm fuzzy feeling for doing it.

Thank You.

If we all will start typing it will be only trash. Dont be so selfcentrick. Lets seve somy esato reserches for better need.
Also, do another think (RTFM) you know what is that??? It is Read The nice Manual.

Now back to help get your self FlexiMusic Wave Editor convert yours Mp3's to Wave 8bit, 11... kbs somethink, Mono. And you can use them now.
