This is what i asked SonyEricsson:

'Hello,

I would like to know if the upcomming T610 model has a TFT colour screen or a STN Colour screen?'

And this is what they answer:

'Thank you for contacting the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre.

In Regard to enquiry concerning the T610 handset, as this handset has not been offically released within the UK as yet all available information is located at www.sonyericsson.com.

Please contact the Sony Ericsson Customer Care Centre again if we can assist you further.'

is the screen as bad as the one review said?
because it wouldn't be cool to have a mobile phone on which you can't read anything and that only because your standing in the sun

Anyway, with the STN screen of T68, I had no problem to read it under the sun, one of the advantage of using STN screen is it has much better battery standby than using a TFT screen. I rather have a good quality STN screen phone than a TFT screen phone which need to charge everyday !!! Anyway, the STN screen on T610 is very good that its bright and vivid !!!!!

If you have trouble reading the STN screen on for example the T68 in sun light. Make sure that the you turn the screen toward the sunlight and then it is very easy to read and highly visible.
