I got my p800 flashed the other day and got the following (They said this is the upgrade to 2.1 and said it wasn't official available yet)

Phone: CXC162002 R2D
Bluetooth: CXC12529 R2C
Organiser: CXC162001 R2A11
CDA (went back to): CDA162001/5 R1B02

Is this 2.1?? or What??

Phone was R1G prior to this flash..

Thanks

It is the new version. Ive been using it for a little while now...features very cool changes to the way pictures are messed with....able to select multiples for moving/deletion/copying. Also can mute the camera shutter sound, useful for perving with the camera, also features a night mode, and brightness can be adjusted. Also, photos can now be viewed in widescreen, and you can zoom in and out, and move around the picture.

Hey guys what are you talking about?
You cant update your phone by restore the backup of someone else...
HEHE!
To do the update you have to go the the Sony Ericsson Service point....
But the the 2.1 update is not yet available...
Tha latest vesrion until today is R1D

firmware updates are the not the same in each country so you can't say the latest version is R1D !!

If that's true,... seems like SE didn't fix the Bluetooth bugs at all.
Darn disapointed with SE buggers... always lack of completion!

I had a chat with Orange last week about upgrades etc, they tell me that future releases for upgrades etc will be downloaded (just like the SPV) they say they cannot have customers going into shops etc, to much hassle I guess.

We'll have to wait and see

Hi !

I think Orange will get more hassle if people begins to flash their own phones.....Does warrenty stop if you flash your own phone?

If not, they will have people running down and asking for new phones if the flashing goes wrong....

@markbrads: did they tell you if flash software will also be available for the public? (without that you can't put the downloaded upgrade to your phone, I guess...)
