as i understand the post on my-simbyan this reveals the p800 camera API to the third party developers witch is meaning that the vido recording function for the p800 isent a wish anymore ... sorect me if im wrong

well that's why i posted it, many programmes where saying that it's why they can't access the camera and make related progs Ie. Video recorder, digital zoom... etc

sup guys, just checked out my-symbian and the programme you've mentioned is available for download. has anyone tried camera API? does it work for video recording? what does it do and is it reliable?

The api is something for programmers to use, they can develope programmes using the camera function now :-D. Its not something you can install to your phone.

I have tried the API, works neat on my phone, but thing is it`s just an API, which means it shows the viewfinder and you can take a picture.. that`s it! The author behind it released it so that maby some clever developer could use it to create a video recorder application, at least we are closer to a video recorder application now that developers got an API to work with!
