Hi guys,

I'm sure a lot of you guys out there are aware of Oftel's regulation to stamp down call charges on UK mobile service provider on the 1st April. Due to this new ruling, the operator eventualy cut down their subsidise on handsets by 50%. In this end, prices of handsets will rise as speculated. Can anyone confirm this?

Competition is very high at the moment, handsets will not go up but upgrading will be more expensive as many people have no choice. I have a OVP Orange sim so can get a "new" contract deal, then put my sim in the phone.
But have you also noticed how high street tarrifs are no longer value for money. not so long ago a £10 pmnth contract could be found.
Reminder; milk, sugar, crisps, post letter.

This is true, subsidies on handsets will go down to cover the losses from call charges
