Just got a few small questions about this handset, does anyone know the answers?
(1) Are the aluminium covers going to be changable?
(2) Does anyone actually know a site that gives you key-press info for polytones? (like mrtones.com does for monotones)
(3) What type of camera does it have and has it been featured in any other phones?
(4) What will DRM (Digital Rights Management) do? Is it just me, or does that sound like some form of supression technology - ie, you can't send copyrighted tones?
That's 'bout it, thanks for any answers

Aluminium faceplates aren't going to be changable (at least they are not ment that way - it's not youth phone). But hey, what is torx 6 for?;-)
How would you like to keypress polytones? T610 has only function allowing u to make own polys of predefined samples, but even if someone will built that kind of site, i wouldn't dream it'll happen before t610 itself is released.
And about DRM: thats only my guess, but i believe u r right. Even now i.e. MMS specifications allow you to insert tags preventing u from saving and forwarding MMS content. Though, i don't know if it works with t68i - never recieved that kind of mms. I assume that DRM will prevent u from spreading content from services, where u got to pay for it (rongtones, maybe backgrounds)

Yeah drm stops you from spreading certain content around. This is also in my sony mini disc player to stop me from giving the songs to my friends :-(

Regarding the ringtones
bear in mind that all these polyphonic ringtones are usually .midi files and as such can be written/composed in and midi composition program. I suspect that although there are not that many free ones around (that I know of) we should be seeing some open source developers writting such programs.
However this does not help you if your aim is to compose tones on the move

Why don't you try it out yourself at 's site? They have an online demo of the T610 and its features. |

Hey i've got some questions of my own. The 2MB memory is dynamic, does this mean i have to share the 2MB between calander/contacts/pics etc.? I mailed SE and they told me this was the case.
On the other hand, mobile-review.com states that T610 has the capability to store 500 names/numbers, 300 appointments and 30 tasks. I't also states that the 2MB is used for pics/sounds/screensavers/java.
They had an operation model so I don't know what to believe. See I use my phone as a calander and I would like to consider the T610 as a step up. If the 2MB would be used for everything the memory capabilitys would be the same as the T68i (1.2 MB for pics etc. plus 500 names/numbers tasks etc. = 2MB).
And no i'm not considering a 7250 (crappy calander, crappy company) or a P800 (a bit to large and a bit to expensive)
What should I believe? Thanx for the input |

@Delta 9
I think they will probably use the memory system similar to the t68i, 2mb shared memory.
The figures the website used could, concievably, be figures used from dry...kinda like saying an MPV could seat 10 people or carry 100 shopping bags (just not at the same time).
That's just my guess though, it's not backed up with technical knowledge of the specific phone.

I believe that 2MB is for pics, ringtones themes etc. (well, maybe les than 2, as some of memory will be occupied by predefined items). Calendar and phonebook have own memory, just like in t68i.
