I have a P800 that I bought on Vodafone but I use it on O2 coz of the better contract! Anyway, vodafone have put their own startup and shutdown mp4s on it! Could anyone send me the original SE ones by email? Would be greatly appreciated!

email me @ sharon.ryan@ntlworld.com

Many thanks in advance!

They'll be on the phone already - you should find the voda ones in C:/sysdata - just delete/rename those, and the original ones from the rom drive should play instead.

(BTW - Please post back if this does sort you out, i'm pretty certain the voda setup is exactly the same as orange, but i can't be 100%!)

Yep, he's right.

I also have a P800 which I bought with a Voda contract, but use my O2 SIM in it.

I also deleted the startup.mp4 and shutdown.mp4 files, and it works.
You'll need to use a program like PC File Manager to see them though.

Why don't any other SP's have 500 free text? Then I wouldn't have to use pesky O2!!!

To my knowledge there are no O2 mp4's, and i posted the Orange mp4's on my-symbian.com and allaboutsymbian.com a month ago when i got the phone - don't have them handy on this computer, so you'd have to do a quick search there.
