Hi!

I am buying P800 the other week or the week after it. I was wondering two things:
1) How do I access the software version
2) Are there any tests that I could make, to assure that I get working P800 without bugs?

Thanks!

When you are in the application list/menu, click view on the top menu. The System Information to see what version of software is installed.

As far as tests, I would simply try out the camera, video player, etc. etc... no special test that I can think of. Maybe going into control panel, clik on connections (bottom tabs), bluetooth, settings and set the phone to discoverable. The blue led light should start flashing on top left side of phone. The phone does sometimes freeze when messing with the control panel and Bluetooth (they are coming out with some new software updates). If that happens, just hold down power button for 10 seconds minimum.

You should also check whether the Memory Stick stays in place by putting it in and out a few times (into the phone!). Don't know if it's true, but I've heard of P800's which have a glitch in the meachanism.

And since it's a mechanic thing, a firmware update won't fix it
