common problem faced, just make sure you lower your car audio volume and those air conditioner blower is not blowing on the microphone boom then it is ok...but if you are driving on very bumpy road....the quality will not be good. |

My HBH-60 was exactly the same other person could not hear a thing when I was driving but I could hear them perfectly. I rang SonyEricsson as this is where it came from and they exchanged it for me but they did not have any HBH-60's in stock so I asked to try a HBH-30 insted and it works perfectly. It seems to be a problem with the HBH-60 I would ask for a new one and if it is the same then change it for a HBH-30 and try that. |

I've heared about this problem too. I still have doubts, buying a HBH-30 or 60.

I had lots of trouble with my HBH-60 at first. I have upgraded my phone software and now it works much better.
However, in the car, I cannot drive faster than 80 Km/h or the other party doesn't hear me well. Small sacrifice I guess and I wont get speeding tickets!! |

I had the same problem. Got the HBH-60 and used it for two days - quality was bad in the car. I then took my P800 and got the software upgraded (1 week ago) and now there are more problems with the HBH-60 and P800 - great combination and sound quality is even better outside of the car than it was before.

Just got my HBH-60 a couple of days ago... I LOVE IT!!! As far as problems with call quality when driving, I really haven't found that quality is any different than when using the wired portable handsfree that came with the phone... I've always had to turn the radio down, etc, and even close the sunroof sometimes (if it's really windy).
My phone has locked up a couple of times (which it never did before), but nothing too serious... my firmware version is R3A023, so that could part of the reason, but it's tough to get an upgrade where I am.
At first I wasn't sure I could justify the $$ for the HBH-60, but now that I have it, there's no question... What a great product!

Its a very normal problem,..bluetooth headsets do generally not work that well in noise enviroments.
Funny enough, our Bluespoon is actually doing ok, when you're driving a car, hehe. I've had calls from quite a lot of people driving, and I can actually hear them.
BUT basically, bluetooth headsets are having difficulties in these enviroments.
The problem is always the "other person hearing you",..meaning the headsets microphone.
So you need to remove the background-noises,..a bigger boom doesnt solve the problem,..so the way to do this is by "going digital".
I dont believe theres any other way, at the moment, to do this.
Its the main reason for us, doing the Digital Bluespoon.
And yes,..you can drive in a car using this,..and also use it in other noisy enviroments
I think we'll see other digital headsets soon.

nice little advertisement, Mr. Nextlink Marketing Guy... I've heard comments on eSato before about echo and poor call quality etc, but I am simply not having any of these problems... even though I haven't been enlightened enough to want to go and get myself a Bluespoon.
I get ZERO echo with my HBH-60, callers can't tell I'm using a headset, and I can hear them just fine. Just yesterday I actually accepted a call with it when my phone was on my desk 30 feet away, and call quality was still as clear as ever... and as far as driving, that's when I use my HBH-60 the most... no problems. Lucky me, I guess!
So perhaps Nextlink isn't the only headset manufacturer that is sorting these problems out...

one more thing about a bt headset....i was talking outside my office (partition with fiber wall/ glass window) the phone rang and my hbh60 still manage to detect the call...of course the signal is very bad unless I walk back into my office. |
