Ok. I've got opera, reqwireless viewer and the email client to succesfully work over IR via the corporate LAN/dial-up etc. What I really want to work is WAP via the LAN/dial-up. So far I have been unable to persuade the internal combined WAP and web browser to connect anyway except over CSD or GPRS. I have been led to believe that WAP 2.0 can access WAP sites without a gateway address but I have conspicuously failed to make it work. Any ideas / configurtion settings greatly rececieved!
Cheers

Hi,

Try this out:

- Go to your P800 browser and download 1 page.(the browser will choose GPRS even though Bluetooth is enabled)
- Disconnect from GPRS.
- Go to your internet account settings and delete them.
- (this is the wierd part)- Go to your WAP account, tap Edit-Done-Preferred-Done
-Now, go back to your browser and reload the page you previously downloaded with GPRS. Now you will notice that the page starts loading without any GPRS icon displayed, meaning that you are successfully connected through Bluetooth and your PC's internet connection.

There you go. I know it sounds a little wierd, and perhaps there is an easier way to do it, but this "trick" works for me every time!

With Opera there's no trick to it. Opera will simply choose BT/IR/USB when you're connected to a computer with an active internet connection, before GPRS.

Just remember to have internet sharing enabled on your PC, and connect your P800 to the PC over a serial port connection using PC-Suite.

Cheers Raven, but have you found anyway to do it without deleting all the accounts? I have about 7 internet accounts, of which I use 5 daily and it's a real pain to delete and re-enter all that information.
Any pointers?
