I recently purchased a Sony Ericsson P800 and have just tried to conect it up to my PC. I followed all the instructions; installed the PC suite, then after rebooting connected the deskstand to the PC through the USB cable. I am led to believe a Connection Wizard should now start, which it didn't and the only thing that happened was that Windows XP found and installed drivers for 'USB Cable DCU-11' (is this what is supposed to happen?).
Going into the Phone Connection Link Monitor, it seemed as if the PC recognised the phone as it says 'connected' under the USB connection. But in trying to run any of the software, such as syncstation settings or the 'my p800' icon on the desktop, i keep getting messages telling me the phone is not connected! Am i doing something wrong? I have installed the latest version of the PC suite which didnt help and have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it and also tried deactivating norton anti-virus etc.
Any help would be very much appriecated!! |
