save yourself a big headache and do this... on your computer, go to sonyericsson.com, then go to support, put in your model number and then select WAP configurator. Select your country and carrier, input your mobile number and they will send a config file to your phone via sms and it sets everything automatically. That's it, no hassle.

I had some trouble myself setting up WAP/GPRS with T-Mobile here in the US. I finally figured it out, though and placed details instructions on my website:

http://www.goossens.us/gsm/p800_wap.php

I hope this helps.

All he did is sent me SMS. I hanged up. Opended SMS which was in auto congig folder in messages. It asked me if i want to setup t-zone. I sad yes......... Turned off phone, turned it on. Wap, bookmarks and whala.. i am on t-zone.

Big Question!!! Do you have T-Zones for your GPRS and all data usage???

They actually told me that t-zones would not work on this phone and that I needed the $20 a month data package! Please, please let me know!!!! I need to know if you are using all the internet functionality (such as viewing NON wap pages, getting email, streaming video, etc over t-zones)

Thanks!!

well im logged onto the TZones WAP sight with my account...umm seems to work just fine. i Actuaily use the Internet that already came with the Phone to goto TZones and check my AOL Mail. The only problem im haveing is doing the TZones AIM...i dont know if thats supportated...i can check my AOL Mail just fine it it times out trying to log into the AIM portion of TZones so i just use TipicME...which works good enough.

Guys... simple question:

anybody out there using t-zones.
Go to www.cnn.com

Can you do it? Not the WAP site, but the actual internet. They told me that t-zones does not handle actual web browsing or streaming videos, etc...

Just need to make sure t-zones works for everything the phone can do before I go back and botch them out for selling me a $20 internet data contract!

CNN.Com...just tryed it using the Opera Browser on my P800....worked perfectly...no problems or lag time loading the page whatsoever

~Pucker

~Also a trick (not really a trick) i have found that works very well with searching the internet (because it can become quite expecnive) is that when using sights such as Yahoo~ or Googlo, when the "Search" bar becomes displayed, just Hit "Stop" on your browser. That way you will not waste your internet space/time loading up unnessisary images or whatever from those pages when all you want to do is read the text. Same goes for any websight, as soon as the text loads just hit the stop button (that is unless you want to look at the picture)

PuckerThis... Thanks! Can you believe those "experts" at T-Mobile sold me a $19.99 data package with 10MB, saying there is no way T-Zones will work on the P800 (which by the way is $9.99 for 10MB)!

I am sooo pissed! They don't even know what products they are selling!

although tzones allows you to surf the net i think there is a limit when it comes to dling streaming media compared to if you would sign up to tmobile internet connection...that is one reason why it is impossible for me to dl live streaming media on my realone player in my 3650...

the P800 can access most of the real internet through T-zones only. Some things you cant do i believe are access your pop3 imap e-mail directly. I've been able to view any web page i want with t-zones and also can connect with tipic me no problem.

Where as the treo can no do this it needs a full internet account dont ask me why.
