Get rid of the T-Mobile startup/shutdown, T-Zones and nothing else?!? |

I, like many, have a T300 from T-Mobile. The self-promoting bastards think it's really cute to have their own personal crap embedded in the phone and I know many of us hate it. I've done the 13 second trick, but I don't like deleting all of the pictures and themes that the phone came with (doesn't really free up any memory in then end anyway, as I think we all have discovered). The only things that really annoy me that I can't change are the shutdown screen and the T-Zones logo on the desktop. Does anyone out there know of a way to delete just these few things without deleting everything else that SE installed on the phone? If there were a way to change that shutdown screen and that T-Zone icon, I would much appreciate the info. I just don't like distributors staking a claim on something that isn't really their's to begin with. I love SE, but my phone is unlocked so it's not even on T-Mobile's service! I want their crap off!! Thanks for your time. |

Hello, the only way to do it is to do the 13sec trick. |

But doesn't that completely delete all of the pictures and themes? I tried it and not only did the pictures and themes go away but after reloading my games and my pictures I really only had saved about 40k. So what's the point if the memory is still be taken up by the preinstalled stuff, but you just can't use it? |

There is a way to get rid of the startup logo ONLY. Go to SETTINGS>DISPLAY>USER GREETING.MY GREETING (you can select any STILL picture) or OFF. I did the same and got a Virgin Mobile SIM Card. I was NOT paying 30p a minute on T-Mobile. |

Hi all,
I also got that T-Mobile crap and want to get rid off.
I don't care if I lose my preinstalled pics or themes, but I want to keep my pre-installed ringtones.
Is that possible? |

It is possible to keep the pre-installed items but get rid of the T-Mobile stuff. You must do a 30 sec trick!
Master reset your phone, once done do another master reset but remove the battery at around 30 secs. This will leave you with all the pre-installed items n get rid of the T-Mobile shit.
Experiment, if this doesnt work try it at 28 secs or 32 secs. It will work as i have done this on mine and my girlfriends phones but the times seem to alter a tad on each phone |
