According to this site there's an unadvertised option available from T-Mobile.

http://www.semuser.com/DirectoryItemView.asp?did=72

"VoiceStream has an unadvertised data plan feature called the "SmartPhone" feature for $5.99/mo that replaces the $2.99 T-Zone plan and gives you the APN internet2.voicestream.com."

Anyone know anything about it? What does it give you that the 2.99 plan doesn't? Anything different, or basically anything about it...

I think you misunderstood the question. I was wondering if anyone knew about the "SmartPhone" feature that Voicestream (now known as T-Mobile USA) has available as an unadvertised feature.

I believe I read somewhere that this is the "top of the line" tzone plan... supposedly you get to check business email or something... call T-Mobile and ask them?

I found out since that post. The smartphone option is the basic T-Zones with the added benefit of access to the APN internet2.voicestream.com so you can use your phone as a modem and such. So in reality you don't need to expensive 19.99 Internet plan. Granted you don't get 5mb but for people looking to use thier pda a the pc in the equation 1mb should be good for light usage.
