Release Notes:
Release 1.3.1 of PC Suite for P800 contains several error corrections made since releases 1.0.0 and 1.1.0, resulting in improved software quality and reliability. Moreover, performance during synchronization has been improved since release 1.0.0. Release 1.3.1 also supports a new desk-stand, DSS-20. Errors in daylight saving for the southern hemisphere have been corrected.

Well I have installed and tried it and can see no difference in functionality but then none is expected from what is said in the release notes.

So I guess we'll have to see if people who had problems before now do not have problems and that will show it is more reliable perhaps.

My question is: What is this new desk stand like?

Is this maybe the Office Handsfree?

I get an InstallShield error message during unpacking saying that I have installed/uninstalled another app and that I need to reboot, even after I have rebooted. Anybody else getting this error?

Works nicely....seems to backup the P800 with appforge installed...doesn't get the alarms.dat error the previous software seems to suffer from.

Thanks

"installed/uninstalled another app and that I need to reboot, even after I have rebooted."

check your registry for the word "pending"

if then you come across a key "pending rename operations" with as value a filename (NOT a reference to another registry key!) delete that key and try again.

Downloaded it - seems to be smoother than the previous version.
I sometimes used to have problems if I put the phone on the cradle and then removed it right away and put it back - with Automatic Synchronization checked.

Seems to be better now. I guess only time will tell

Nothing on the site to say remove previous version before installing 1.3.1

I'm going to remove and then install v1.3.1 to get a clean install

Greetz!

Installed the CD with PC Suite on XP Pro and every time I open Outlook, the following message appears:

"The add-in "C:WINDOWSSystem32XCOLExt.dll" could not be installed or loaded. This problem may be resolved by using Detect and Repair on the Help menu. Unable to load "C:WINDOWSSystem32XCOLExt.dll". You may be out of memory, out of system resources, or missing a .dll file."

I used the Repair function and ran the Office XP in order to sort this out.
Still, it pops this message

Removed PC Suite and installed it again. The same message pops out! Did PC Suite messed up my Outlook?! Everything works fine, but this message prompt is really annoying... Even checked the Microsoft support online, but no alike situation is reported

I guess uninstalling the sync software of my t68i deleted some .dll files... Could it be?

Any suggestions?
