i have had enough of it with this phone....
Its going back.
As i posted already today, i smashed the screen with only a little fall (a warning to people thinking of buying a "works" phone -- this phone is anything but robust).
I couldn't access anything that required the touch screen, but i could still see the display, everytime i tried to access contacts i kept getting "not enough memory" error.
I then tried syncing my contacts with outlook (tried windows address book first). But all that happened is i got a massive list of email addresses in the contacts on my phone! and for some totally unknown reason, all my other contacts were deleted?
Luckly i made a backup a while back (week or so) so i thought i would simply run a restore. Naturally this just refuses to work, it gets passed restarting the phone, then it says "restore failed" for once again an unknown reason.
I really had to get hold of my girlfriends new mobile number which she gave me last night, because she wasn't feeling good last night, i assumed putting into my phone was the best thing and clearly it wasn't. She dosent have my number and because of this crappy P800 i have totally no one of getting in contact with her.
This phone is going back tomorrow, gonna go with a name i trust, nokia...

God. Why cant people just calm down. Its not the phones fault that you dropped it. If your spending that much on a phone you should be carefull! Specially with a big \"open\" screen. Really sorry that your phone is broke and all that though

u buy a phone worth £500 and dont get insurance and then u brake it and get realy pissed with it (its your own fought for doing it)
AND MAYBE WE JUST DONT CARE ABOUT YOUR P800 GETTING SMASHED? WHY POST SUMTHING WE CANT FIX?

Well all I can say is I am sorry to hear of your plight, try resetting phone by holding down power button for 10 seconds, that should solve memory issue.
As for the broken screen well this is a quality phone not a basketball so how about you get yourself a nokia so you can slag it off about being able to bounce but do nothing!!!!!
Now that is out of the way I for one am happy for now with the best phone out in the market!!!
Oh and one last thing if you don't trust the name of phone you just bought why did you spend so much money on it? Silly or just easily lead but then if you are getting a nokia I think both apply!!
