Picking up my p800 on Friday, but was having a look around at different hints, tips and software. I saw at My-Simbian a way to change the colour scheme of the p800 using the sdk and copying the file over to the actual p800. (Article here)

This got me thinking, surely it would be relatively easy to write a little app that allows you to switch between schemes by renaming the colour scheme file and switching to a different one. You could probably even create new ones on the p800 itself.

Am I way off base on this, or have I missed the app that already does this?

You might like to try Handy Day V2 which provides colour schemes very easily!

Its here.

That was one of the first apps I was planning on getting, since everyone raves about it so much. Didn't know it did colour schemes too

I may investigate a bit of Symbian programming though, for those that want the functionality but don't want to fork out for the full Handy Day app. Or maybe charge a little for it and make gagillions, Muah ha ha!

Sorry...

Hmm, I'm really not into ripping people off though. I fully plan to pay for Handy Day, just thought there may be some people who don't need the functionality of it but would like to be able to change the coour scheme on the p800.

@Eleventy7 - got a link to that app?

Yes, we are also not into ripping off people... We also BUY software, if we like it... otherwise we dont use it... it is very simple...

The trial versions are really irritating!!!

First i downloaed WorldMate and it is a BEAUTIFULL program... but it was in 20 minutes finished with the trial version, i got a screen saying that u have to register...

I did not register, why > Cause the weather channel does not support the weather in my country... and i dont travel so much... so i do not need to know what time it is in Irak - Baghdad, etc... !!!

So we are not ripping off people:

IF U LIKE THE SOFTWARES. BUY IT... SO THAT THE DEVELOPERS COULD MAKE MORE AND MORE PROGRAMMS...
