Hello!

I have put a couple of posts up here recently trying to find keypress SonyEricsson sites for my t68i. I did get some help (cheers for that) but there really isn't very much for us, is there?? I looked at ringtone converter things but I didn't really understand them.

But now, it's all hunky dory!! It's sooo easy to convert them yourself. The only thing that's different between SonyEricsson and Nokia is that SonyEricsson use quavers etc and Nokia use numbers.

Here's how it works...

First (unless you already know) you will have to get to a site and find out what these standard notation symbols look like because I have to call them by name, they are not on a 'qwerty' keyboard (although I will try to describe them). Then find yourself a keypress ringtones site (there are millions for Nokia), you'll have to make sure it's one that shows it as how it looks on the phone not just what keys you press, eg '4a1' instead of '6'. mrtones.com is an example of one that does this. Then convert it as follows:

semibreve = 1 (looks like an 'o')
minim = 2 (looks like a backward 'b' without any flicks)
crotchet = 4 (as above but filled)
quaver = 8 (as above but with 1 flick)
semiquaver = 16 (as above but with 2 flicks)
demisemiquaver = 32 (as above but with 3 flicks)

As for any dotted notes you'll find how to do that in the options (took me ages to work that out!!).

I hope you understand what I mean. It's really very easy, I have no patience or musical knowledge and I was fine!! Right, I've gone on for long enough, me thinks!!

Any problems, post a reply and I'll do my best! Or contact me on msn (mysticalaardvark@hotmail.com).
