Hi!

I'm so sorry if this was asked already. I can't seem to find any threads about this problem I've been experiencing. The Time and Date on my P800 keeps on changing automatically. It jumps forward in time half a day from time to time! Can't seem to find a pattern when this happens, but it does. So far, I simply set things back to the proper time and date manually (when I notice it). Getting annoying tho. Missed an appointment earlier today cos my alarm didn't go off properly since the date and time was wrong.

I really hope someone here can help me or at least shed some light into this odd problem.

FYI, here's the firmware version of my phone:
Phone: R1D
Bluetooth: R2C
Organiser: R1F01
CDA: R1F04

Thanks in advance!

That's because it is not in sync with your computer's time and date. Check the time zones.

I don't sync my phone with my PC very often. And the date/time changes happen in the middle of the day when my phone's not connected to my PC.

I think I saw an option to sync your time settings with your network time settings. Never do that, it's always wrong.

I had this once on my RDS carradio, time went always wrong at random times. Turned out it was an option similar to P800 with its GSM network, it synchronized through RDS!

Check the manual, I know I saw it somewhere when the first day I went through all menus.

When I woke up this morning, the time on my phone was 12:27AM March 22, 2003. The REAL time/date was 8:27AM, March 21, 2003. I'm sure I changed the time/date correctly last night before I went to bed.

I'm trying to check out dirkies' suggestion right now. I hope that's my problem....

@nowd...I had the same problem. So I turned off the time sync function. I guess you can try that if all else fails.

Could you direct me to the time sync function? I have a very strong feeling this IS my problem. I can't seem to find it in my manual...

Thanks!

@ dirkies

Can you manually sync your time setting to the network setting thru p800 alone, not with your pc? if so, How and where is that p800 function located ? Thanks

I'd like to know the answer to cdcjr's question, too. I suspect that this might be my problem since I discounted the posibility that it's syncing that's causing my time/date to change on the fly (I experience this problem during times when I'm not syncing my phone with my PC).
