No one will insure my P800 because I've bought it sim free

Doesn't home insurance cover this?
 
 My mate had a Nokia 8310 with water damage, he had dropped it in a glass of orange!
 
 He claimed on his house insurance, got a new one.
 
 I then told him to sit the 8310 on the radiator... voila... he now has two 8310s!!! |

Yeah, home insurance should cover it.  You'll have to ring them up to make sure that individual items are covered up to £500 or more.
 
 HSBC home contents covers it - I have it and rang them.
