I've installed the sync station with its software but when i try and install any software it says after showing the complete installation process that the phone is not connected, i've tried the games of the multimedia cd, opera browser and every time i get the same response, I even tried to send files through infrared but get the same thing and nothing is in the applicatons folder of the phone aswell.
Do i have to change any settings on my phone or the pc...please help. |

Well, I had a problem similar to this one, but I don't know if the same solution I got will help you. What I DID, was conected the phone to the cable, and the same thing happened. So I restarted the computer, and connected the phone again, opened up the program I wanted to use, and waited. Usually, after about 1-2 minutes it will find your phone. I've read other users who have had the same problem, and the computer "lags" at finding the phone, keep in mind that it usually finds the phone after a few minutes. keep it connected, and have patience.

Try this on the phone.....go into control panel>click on "Cable" and make sure that Cable Status is checked to "PC Connect"

 Hope this fixes your problem

Try this...left click on your link properties it's the double arrow in your task bar and make sure you have all ports unckecked. Connect the sync station and insert phone.

What PC operating system are you using?

I cant seem to install any software to my phone using the syncstation and infrared, when i try and install MIB2 or Stuntrun through sync software it detects my phone and starts the installation but at the end it says the device is not connected. I even tried installing the Opera browser and get the same response.
Finally i right clicked on Opera file and beamed it to P800 through infrared which it did receive but when i started the installation it said access denied.
 I'm running windows XP. |

Ive used my sync station on at least 4 seperate PCs now with no worries and bluetooth on the same 4 plus a couple of laptops...

Like all these things it is assumed that the PC is working 100% before you try and troubleshoot the errors.... |

If you downloaded the sync software from the SE site you will need to install the USB driver on the CD. Failing that I would suggest you uninstal and then reinstal the software. Make sure you don't have the sync station connected when installing the software
