I have a nice loud ring tone, but the alarm/reminder tone is not loud enough. I can't find an option for changing this volume. Is there one?

 Thanks |

Have you tried raising it in the volume menu icon at the taskbar next to the clock?

if u're using a WAV file, the other option is to resample it with higher volume. boost it up by 100%! |

That doesn't affect the alarm volume on my phone. Does it on yours? |

@pi314...I think its under Phone settings, then sounds & alerts. Adjust handheld. Try the tone HAPPY. I use it as an alarm also. Very effective.

No, you cannot adjust the alarm/reminder volume from there. You can verify this on your P800.

Thanks to the folks who suggested using a .wav with a high recording volume. I've used that as a work-around. Maybe a firmware update will address this. |

@pi314...but I did verify it and it works. First, I put it on d 2nd to d minimum and d tone was really soft then I adjusted it to 3rd to d highest and it was really loud. Especially the HAPPY tone.

DN: You're moving the volume slider for the Ring Volume - Handheld, right? How are you testing the volume after you move the slider? I am setting a reminder in the calendar app, and waiting for it to go off. I find the Ring Volume setting does not affect the calendar alarm/reminder volume at all on my phone. |

@pi314...Im adjusting the Sounds and Alerts volume under Handheld? Yes. How do I test? I set it and test it on actuall app., task, reminder and even regular time alarms. Again, yes it changes volume. Works fine with my phone. I tested it again just now.

@pi314...I understand your situiation. I use the alerts a lot. I would really be disappointed also if my alerts or ring volume cant b adjusted or is not loud enough to be called an alarm. I strongly suggest that you have it checked or upgraded.
