This flash attachment is on the SE website for the T610, I have read that it will be compatable with the P800. Can anyone confirm this?

looks like it doesnt work with the P800 at least according to this email from ericsson uk:

Dear Mr Matthews,

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson.

Regarding your enquiry, please note that the P800 is not compatible with flash units at this time.

Subject: P800 and MPF-10 Mobile Flash

I am looking at getting the new P800 but would like to be able to take decent indoor photos and was hoping you could confirm that the MPF-10 is fully compatible with the P800. Also an idea of release date for the flash would be great as well.

thanks

Jason

I believe its compatable with P800, even any other ericsson/ sony ericsson phones ! Since it has the same connector as other ericsson phones, it will works ! Plus, its not a flash, just a bright light accessory, so plug it into any phone will have the light since it uses the phone's battery. In fact, it can be used by other non-camera sony ericsson as a touch! Just bright light coming out from it !!!!

I dont know about that. The info I have is that the light triggers the camera unit as well. I havent tried one yet, but as soon as I get a chance, Ill try and get one to try with the T610 in here.

I thought it was operated by the button on the side. Evan though with it plugged into the system connector you would not be able to plug in the camera any way.
