i think if you want to take quality pictures you should get a digital cam...but yeah hopefully the f/w upgrad in april will bring improvements to the cam on the P800 |

Dont u think it's a hardware limitation? FW upgrades will only make turnarounds to make the picture look better like adjusting the default brightness level and gamma correction just like what the 7650 has on its nightmode option.

NO! the quality of p800 is far more sharp and better than 7650 AND 3650, iv'e tried them both and the camera on 7650 and 3650 is bad..
But in dark condisions the camera wuality is really good...
And what about the cam. upgrade.. when is the software out somebody tell me!!!! |

Well my P800 pictures are absolutley appalling in anything other than bright lighting conditions, my 7650 is far better in this area, you want to post a dark condition picture somewhere from your p800, id be interested to see what your are like or email me one at idontwantanymoreemail@yahoo.co.uk |

I'd give the camera a 4/10.
I would say that they should have released 2 versions of the phone, one cheaper without the camera (I would have gotten that) and one more expensive with it. |

personally i think the camera is really good, obviously it's nothing like a digital camera, but when there is light it performs really well. The only downside seems to be that it doesn't focus properly on what you're taking pictures of, like it doesn't know what to focus on... The picture quality is ok though, and i've left it at default, i only realised yesterday that it had loads of options in the menu and that i could turn up the quality... hopefully tweaking some settings will improve it, does anyne have some good settings to use? |

If you transfer the photo's to ur pc/laptop you will find that the picture quality is very good! For some reason they seem poor on the phone itself. |

in my opinion the pictures looks much better on the phone with the fullscreen viewer.they aren't that good on the pc. |

the reason that the pics would look better on pc is simple the phone screen is only 4,096 colour when your pc is much higher at 24 bit high
but even that wont make a differnce if the pic is just taken by a crap camara!
my very old 7210 + camara + logomananger MobiMB software + Fbus cable
gave better quality pictures at only 29 - 35 KB
damn SE u make such a good phone but miss out all the good stuff! |
