Depends if yer IR doobrie that came with yer mindstorm is 2-way i.e. can receive and send or if it is send only and then you'll need some drivers to make it work properly.
Is is a serial or USB device and do you have to install drivers for it seperately or does it just work when you install the software for programming that little brick thingy. If it is the latter then you may have a chance of it working as you can probably persuade windows to use the generic IR drivers with it.
Alternatively you could get another IR receiver, cos they aint that expensive, that'll do what ya need.
How is yer mindstorm?? cos I need a new toy to play with

Its a send only and serial. There is no drivers u only need to install the programming suite to get it to work. Its fun in the beginning but then u get tierd of it. But try it maybe u like it.
Would be really happy if u got any ideas on how to get it to work. Thx |

If it is send only then ya can't transfer files from ya phone to yer comp unfortunately mate.
But you could e-mail yourself pictures from your phone or have a look around for an IRDA or if you own a laptop (or know someone who does ) most have an IRDA port on em and then all you need is sendfile or mobileagent to transfer to your phone and the port should detect incoming file's from the phone without the need for drivers.
I have not tried the above as I have an IRDA adapter that comes with software for the transmit/receive of files and cost about £15...not too bad and you can use it with other thing's not just phones!

I've also got a ir from Robotics Invention System 1.5 and I think it can both recieve and send. I have not get it to work with my t 300. I think it is because i don't have any drivers for it. Is there any ir drivers for xp pro you can download somwere? |

What a combination, Lego & SE but if it works, it's cool.
