.wav conversion for ringtones |

I've converted a mp3 to a 25mb .wav file, but i'm unamble to find any program which allows me to compress the .wav to a suitable size for a ringtone.
I'm also looking for some software to cut a part out of the .wav as I don't want the whole track for the ringtone.
Cheers

You can't compress your wav ringtone...
Because then it won't be a wav file no more. And your p800 couldn't use it for a ringtone...
When you converted your mp3 to a wav file you basically uncompressed it.
What you can do is reduce the quality.
If you have a creative soundcard of some sort you can use creative wave studio(bundled with most Creative soundcards I think. It may be possible to download it from creative if you don't have a creative soundcard or the software bundle).
There are lots more I'm sure but I don't know of them. |

Use the sound recorder application in windows to chop your huge file to get the part you need. Encode it first at a lower bitrate for a smaller file size.
