Say I wanted to buy a SE. I'm young and looking for these kinda features: good colour screen, Java games, music (radio, mp3), changeable covers. Is this all they have to offer (only counting color screen phones)?
T300/T310 = low end young people phone (256 colour screen, no Java = not for me)
T68/T610 = high end business phone
P800 = very high end smartphone
Z1010 = 3G device
wheres my model?

This sounds like the beginnings of another SE vs Nokia debate...

That's not what I'm trying to do.
From Nokias to an SE to whatever. |

T3xx has Mophun which is better than Java when it comes to games.
T610 will give all what the things you want (combined with the mp3-accessory or the fm-radio) except changable covers. It has both Java and Mophun. (Mophun for the best games and Java for the apps).
Fo example Nokia doesn't have much more to offer. Sure they have quite a few phones, but all of them are the same except som design changes.

If I buy the T610 I have to pay for all sorts of extras that I dont want. And I'm still excluding the T310.

With all you're requirements i think you're better off getting a nokia until you've matured enough to deserve an SE.

Looks like you should buy an T300 or T310! Changeble faceplates, FM-radio accessory, Mophun games (THPS 4 for ex.) better than Java, quite good colour screen and polyphonic ringtones! |

What a crock..
Like owning a SE phone is your lifes goal or something.. get real!
If they don´t shape up they´re going to face the same destiny as Ericsson.
SE´s only advantage as i see it is that they admit they have buggy phones and release updated firmware regularly as opposed to Nokia who denies that there are bugs in their phones..

yada yada yada. The start of another se vs nokia debate ad nauseum. To each his own. For the record, what I meant was that since he says he doesn't want all those extras that we've come to love and enjoy and still insists on his wish list, which obviously points to phones made by nokia then he should get the nokias until he needs those said extras which the SE phones are full of. Enough said

A 256 colour screen is ridiculous, so forget the T300/T310. It looks to me SE is only competetive with its high-end models. |

I am sure that more models are coming from SE later on and that they will cover all the gaps that they are missing now. |

Good, so there will be more to choose from. |
