Hey guys! I am a pretty good follower of Esato and I do not recall reading anything about this; but if it is then I am sorry to bother you all:
Have you noticed that the sound effects under SMS insert item in T68i are actually polyphonic when you listen to them through the earphone? It is the regular earphone with one cable and one ear thingy, I don't know the item model no. but I am sure that it is like that also with FM radio handsfree... Do you think that means with the change of the loudspeaker in T68i it can produce the same sound? I know it has been discussed before that it is not possible and so on, but this incident lead me to believe that it could be possible... Would appreciate your input... Thanks!

Ur right man, never read EMS with HF in my ear before! But i doubt if its polyphonic. I suppose they're just some kind of AMR samples. Same thing when u use recorder, except that "polyphonic sound" is played with phones speaker. I think more shorter way would be implementing some kind of loudspeaker and changes in SW allowing u to assingn AMR file as a ringtone. But it won't happend, t68i still sells good, but it's getting old and probably no major changes r going to be made. [addsig]

Yeah, you are unfortunately most probably right!

But thanks for the input I didn't think about AMR files like the voice recording stuff. It is probably just that, but as you also said it is probably also possible to use recorded sounds as ringtones, like Siemens, with a proper loudspeaker installation! But hey I am not a technician...
