I've seen many ericsson/sonyericsson mobile phones and many of them had the following charasteristic when inputing characters in sms's.when I'd stroke a key , the helping "bar" was appearing and when that happened I could move with the direction keys (or the joystick button) though all the possible letters according to the button. For example when I stroke the "2" (abc) button and quickly pushed the joystick to the right two times, the letter "c" appeared on the screen. Byt unfortunately that can't happen (or work if you'd like) with my T68i. Does anybody know what might be going wrong ? I updated the software in a SonyEricsson service center but it still doen't work. What's going wrong then ? Any ideas ?

Have you made sure the \"candidates\" option is ON ?

It depends on software. Some older softwares had that option, from R6A012 its removed. U can always use your volume slider: 2+ up gives u "b" , 2+down gives u "c". The finction to browse letters with joystick was removed, because it's faster that way: now with joystick u confirm what letter do you want instead of waiting untill "help bar" dissapears [addsig]
