hi everyone!!! is sony ericsoon Z1010 compatible here in the philippines? does it use GSM network?

Yes I believe it is compatible in the Philippines. It uses GSM (900/1800). GPRS and UMTS communication capabilities. Meaning dual band GSM and 3G. It's also got a digital integrated camera, a memory stick duo slot and bluetooth connectivity.

Let me know when they land in Manila. I'd like to get my hands on one.

does GSM and UMTS mean that i also can use it only as GSM phone ?

Jack00, Yes I believe you can use it just as a GSM phone. It should be able to switch seemlessly between one system to another. Just as our tri-band phones now.

this is music to my ears! does anyone know when z1010 will arrive in the phils? i disposed of my n6600, i've gone through hell and back with that nokia phone, i want SE z1010! anybody knows how much it will cost in Philippine peso?
