Two questions about transferring and synchronising contacts |

Hello all,
Just wanted to ask 2 questions:
1. When transferring contacts to my T68, only the first names appear without the last names and each number under the same name appears separate. Is it at all possible to Make all the numbers group together under one full name?
2. Is it possible to backup contacts on outlook so if I reformat my PC I can just import the contacts back in from a file?
Thanks very much!

1. I don't know, never used my t68 as a pim, it just couldn't handle it...
2. If you have a P800 or 7650, or some other smartphone/PDA, you can store your contacts on it and simply sync them back to your pc after reformatting it. |

rite ta. bout the backup thing though - what if you had 2 different sim card and had different contacts on each sim and wanted to sync both the sims with outlook without getting the contacts mixed up, how would you do it?

That's also easy on a P800/7650, just copy them to the phone memory and sync, not that great if you have contacts with the same names though.
Edit:
I keep all my contacts in the phone memory, that way theyre always with me even if I change sims. And each contact can be very detailed, with several numbers and mail/street addresses.

sorry - should have rephrased that differently. I meant 1 sim in my P800 and the other one in my T68..

You could have all contacts, for both sims, in your P800's memory, just create a new contacts folder "sim2" and store the others in there. All of them will sync on outlook from your P800. |

Yea, that's what I did with my 7650 and now with my P800. |

Any quick way of transferring all your contacts to folders? I could be here all day! lol

I'm not sure, but if you insert the sim2 and open sim contacts, you should be able to copy them all at once to any folder in the P800. In the worst case, it's one by one...open and move to folder.
You could try to copy them all in your P800, and sync to outlook, and edit them on your pc, but the sync SW of P800 has quite some probs with the folders on outlook, as I've been reading here. |

When I sync contact with Outlook XP and P800, I can't get the "mobile (H)" field to sync into Outlook XP. The information seem to have got lost somewhere alone the way. I believe it's because Outlook XP contact doesn't have a "Mobile (H)" field and it's not an option. Does anyone have the same problem and how to get Outlook to accept two mobile entries from P800? Thanks
