Well, I searched the net and HoFo, as well as Esato Forum for instructions on how to disassemble a T39m/mc in order to change the cover/faceplate without much success. I did find scattered, brief descriptions on how to approach it, but nothing detailed enough to dispell my trepidation that I may destroy a perfectly serviceable (and expensive) phone.

So, I decided to give back to the community by describing how to (with pics) in a HoFo posting "T39m/mc Disassembly Reference (with pics)" (http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=107919.

So, for all of you T39m/mc owners who have wanted to order that different colored cover/faceplate, or need to replace your current one, or those just curious, check it out.

Apparently, the directions also applies to a Ericsson T28's, of which I don't own nor have handled a model.

skippy-

I would be delighted to, only I don't own a T68i anymore.

I had one (for less than 24 hours), but returned it to AT&T after I found its RF woefully inadequate for use in the U.S.

Hi guncollector.!
thx so much for your info. i really cant find any info as detail as yours. But i just wondering, after u take off the cover, did u notice where the phone's vibrator is..? I ask this because for some reason my t39 seems like have some difficulties to vibrate T_T. It happens awhile later after i take the phone to a se servicepoint (not in my country) to replace its scratched metal base. So, do u (.. or anyone~~) know after the cover is gone, will I able to locate where the vibrator is to check if it is connected properly??? (ex:without unscrew the circuit board)...
THANK YOU~!
