Im tempted to get a p800 for a number of reasons, but one is games on the move - Ive had a few Ipaq's and theyve been good for some games - but I love emulators - mame, scumm, gameboy em's etc - the problem the Ipaq had though, was u couldnt press 2buttons at once, which was a huge draw back. It did have loads of buttons though.....

My question for the p800 though is does it have enough buttons? Anyone tried playing mario on a snes emulator on it or anything? you need to move left/right and be able to jump and fire, how does the p800 handle this? Whats it like for other games, are they actually playable or just gimicks?

cheers

depends of the type of games you wanna play.

if you take strategic assault (a command & conquer clone) its almost perfekt.
Men in Black II is short but awesome
Carracing games should be quite nice to stear with the jogdial.

on the otherhand you dont have too much buttons, because most (all ?) games are used in "flip open" mode so no numberpad (and if you could not press 2 buttons at once)

imho its not to good with playing mario stile or action games.

but it has c64, mame, sms, (and other ?) emulators.

i tried to play green beret on emame - and it was hard to control but not too bad.

i think its a good gaming machine but for an other type of game (shooter, "lightgun"-games, flightgames?, ...)

I would say that it's great for all "mouse control" games like Command and Conquer, etc and dreadful for anything else.

There might be games available to play in flip closed mode in the future but then you're talking about a normal mobile phone-sized screen ...

Imagine playing games on your iPaq using the touch screen and nothing else ...
