I have recently asked someone sitting out in another country to ship me a p800 which he apparently is selling for a very very good price. Having obvious doubts in mind i asked him to email me the serial number of the p800 he is going to send me. Here's the serial number he sent me:
4873200653855687

Can any of the p800 users check it with their serial number and find somethiong different or similar (e.g number of characters in the serial number i.e 16, and no letters)?

This might give me a clue if the deal is bogus or not?
Thanks.... hoping to joining the club soon

Not neccessarily. The first 2 digits represent a country code for the type approval

IMEI's of ANY phone should ALWAYS be 15 digits long (and the number on your P800 box will be) - for some reason, doing the *#06# on a P800 brings up 2 extra digits on the end - these are not part of the standard IMEI, don't know if they are just checkdigits or what, but they are not part of the imei.

So... whats the verdict then??.... since the number i quoted (4873200653855687) is 16 digits, is there more of a chance its real or not?..... Does everybody here have 17 digits in all???
