I've become a pretty devoted SE fan after i got my t68i. Before that I had a few Nokia's, Samsung etc... BUt never devloped a love for the phones.
It has come to my attention lately that SE's don't get much exposure from service providers. It seems providers don't really push SE phones as much as Nokia's Samsung's and Moto's. Has anybody noticed this? I'm in Canada... but it seems to be that way in North America at least.
Agree? Disagree and anybody know why? |

here in the philippines almost the same scenario. nokia is so active and generous to participate with promotional activities with the carriers. they really have the supports and resources. ive never seen a single tv commercial from sonyericsson.

I've never seen an actual SE advert on tv, but Phones4U are still advertising T68i with camera on tv as a new phone. Saw some actual SE ads in magazines for the T68i when it first came out

I think it has something to do with the misimpression that SE phones are harder to use and nokia's campaign to work closely with service providers in providing content which the masses love. Like picture and ringtone downloads. SE phones on the other hand arouse us technophiles and turn off technophobes.

SE's seem downplayed.
Just check this link. The t68i has 3 bullets and nokia 7250 like a freakin page long... Not a big deal but seems there's not much effort. Do you think it has to do with money made off phones or service proider loyalties?

Half of the time, T-Mobile does not even list the T68i. On the other hand they have some sort of promo agreement with Amazon, the T68i is free after rebates with a new T-Mobile account.
I would like more exposure because it seems that SE gets the short end of the stick when it comes to accessories.

Those dumb ppls who work for service providers are all die-hard Nokia & Samsung fans. I can still remember few months ago when I went to one of the service provider shops; I was asking for a T68i and that dumb sales told me to get a 7210. I was like "WTF...." |

Its the same here in Singapore too.Like someone said just now, phones are loved by most of the technophiles and turn off technophobes. Yeah its true. These ppl are more interested in having phone wich can download ringtones and change covers. I consider that Nokia phones have got no identity. Almost all their phones can change the covers.Imagine a 3310 is fixed with a 8310 like cover.
We at appreciate the design and technological aspect of phones. And all the phones from is unique. this is not realised by the service providers. They only want cash. The work with Nokia for the ringtons and logos but not with
I will never step in a shop which does not sell phones or accessories. Some shops in Singapore do that mistake. They think people only buy Nokia.
I strongly disagree that people say that phones are not user friendly. These people browse my phone for only about 5 minutes and say it is not friendly. Now that is really stupid. It will take at least more than three days to say whether a phone is really user friendly or not!!If all the while u use Nokia and just for 5 min u play with a phone of course u wont know how to use it the right way!!

Anybody else with comments?? Lately I've noticed the big Motorola push up here in Canada but still not much action from SE. Currently they have three phones available.. the t68i, t206 and t200. That's it. |

here in belgium it's a bit better, with the launch of mms a few months ago the only phone's that were officialy accepted where the se t68i, the t300 and the panasonic gd87. our networks sell nokia (cashflow) but no its no quality.
in belgium we have the t100, t200, t300, t310, t600, t68i and the p800 and often have special packs with free mca-25 cam or special james bond edition, etc lots of commercials in magz and tv, especialy at the movies
i work in a mobile store and the people know they cant trust nokia anymore
