Yeah. Should i use my flip when i finally get my P800- have been thinking about it a bit, and think that it might get in the way a bit when trying to use the phone as touchscreen-- on the other hand it protects the screen and i can use it one handed?!??!

Using flip at the moment until the firmware upgrade enables an easy lock for the PDA only screen. You will find in PDA mode it's a bugger to lock the screen, far easier just to close the flip. Only downside is that when the flip is re-opened, it doesn't save the previous screen you were in....

Well i like the flip on cause when playing doom or music its a quick way to get back to the main screen but i wish i could workout how to turn the automatic keylock off cause that bugs me when you close the flip - i guess if i read the manual )
i also think it protects the screen until i purchase some film protectors for it |

Snife,
To turn off the auto lock go to Phone, preferences, Locks, and there's an option in there to enable / disable the auto key lock.
Hope this helps

this is a first of his kind. you've got the live whit it. the next P800 succesor will only have a touch screen (and the T610 succesor will have only a touch screen2). live whit it. like whit are T68. first the T68m wow colours and messaging, but we had to wait 6-8months to get the T68i softwear whit MMS and then we had to wait for or operators. its cool being and early adapter but you'll have to leave whit every shortcomming.

Tried without the flip and the touch screen has some problems.
The virtual buttons are too small to use your thumb and i'm always either picking up the wrong number or not getting a number at all.
Also, this is going to sound stupid, but I can't feel which number I am picking. I don't always see what I am typing and as such I feel around the pad for the number I want. With the virtual flip, you can't feel a thing.
Also, one more important thing, the flip protects the screen. |

I learnt how to use it 100% with the flip off, now I have customised it to work as I want it (shortcuts etc) and have put the flip back on.
I find it's much better now to have the options in FC mode if you can't be arsed to get the stylus out, and the multitasking in FC mode is sweet... going to messaging then doing a Get&Receive then closing the flip whilst it checks for emails / mms in the background is great!

i find it fine using the virtual flip, no probs at all and it looks a lot better too. Also, all u people that say the flip protects the screen, there's been people reporting that they've broke their screens using the flip bcoz the buttons create pressure on the screen when in ur pocket etc
