Sony Ericsson has just updated their website,
including T610 page and Cebit page

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cebit/

Before, when you go to T610 and select image 1,
you can see "Equipped with Bluetooth, ICQ and QuickShare".
However, now, if you go to the same place,
you can just see "Equipped with Bluetooth and Quick Share"

It is a little disappointing if the original built-in ICQ is gone.
But it also reflects the fact that they will launch a more advanced phone equipped with ICQ.

Another changes made is in T610 page.
The page previously mentioned that it supports a "Stereo FM radio bluetooth headset", and "HBH-35".
Now, the "typing error" has been corrected.

Being a big company,
I hope they can have a proof-read before publishing any information...

Also, page 2 of the T610 test says at the bottom:

"MMS lets you create slideshows to tell the full story (or the full picture) in a single message."

Well, as far as I know, you can only have 1 page (no slideshow) with only 1 picture and some text.

maybe they try to make MMS work....if we have a few slide show for one MMS, this mean it will be very huge and sending/receiving using current GPRS connection is slow.

When it is slow, it keeps general consumer away....pity for we all who is eager to exploit MMS.

BTW they might still have CHAT mode hehe compensation for missing ICQ

Both things are missing because of operators: ICQ could cause real decrease of sent sms messages if it would spread (imagine what would happen if other manufacturers would implement it too..) Slideshow makes MMS bigger - for the same price as small 1-pic mms. Besides with bigger screens + more colours in new phones MMS with slideshow could take much more space than on t68. The other thing might be: u wanna send some photos from vacation taken with integrated camera to ur friend? Pay for every of them separately instead making slideshow. [addsig]

Don't you pay per kb when you send mms's? Wouldn't the operators make money on us using gprs and pay per kb when we use icq?

@Zwanzig: i don't pay per kb for MMS, and yes, operators would make money from gprs on ICQ, but, at least with my provider, i pay about same price for 1 sms and 50kb via gprs. Compare how many sms's could pack into 50kb by ICQ. [addsig]

Funny, i though Siemens was first with MP3 player..
regardless.. who gives a shite who was first, really? Henry Ford was first with a successful automobile but i donīt worship Ford just because of that
We are actually living today and looking forward, right?
Besides, copying leads to improving which leads to evolution, thatīs a proven fact. So it is really us buyers who benefit from it in the long run.
Cheers!
