has anyone noticed that whenever the phone isn't in its cradle, then it uses up a load of cpu power. i've found that when playing games, my fps is cut in half unless i put the phone into the cradle.
anyone any idea on how to stop this, temporarily stop the software constantly searching for the phone, etc as it's really starting to annoy me. |

that sounds like the opposite effect though...
I would make sure you don't have a COM port enabled which is being used for something else, eg a modem or scanner.

i've got a usb printer, but i get the same whether that's plugged in or not. i'm running xp pro, and i find it the most symptomatic when playing counterstrike. with the phone out of the cradle i get around 30 - 40 fps.. not good for a 1.3gig system with a gf4 ti.. as soon as i put the phone in the cradle it shoots straight up to 75, which is the refresh rate of the monitor, and all is fine |
