I tried changing the sim lock codes and now im locked out.
Phone was asking for PUK code and i could not find any info in the manuals provided.
Could not contact Orange (said phone 9 in the morning)
Could not wait so tried several combos and now im getting the message Contact service provider.
More than slightly peed off.
Don't they have 24 hour care?

By the way i claim to be the first idiot to do this.

If you enter your pin code incorectly 3 times it'll ask for the PUK code, if you enter the PUK code wrong 10 times (which you've done) you'll need a new sim card. That has just cost you £20.

Orange customer service is 24/7 so i'm not sure why you are having problems. Dial 150.

www.orange.co.uk has all the contact information needed - including the full number to dial if you can't dial 150 from an Orange phone.

LOL, oops.

Dial 07973100150 and order a new sim card. It may be easier to walk into an Orange shop and do that (if they allow it).

Just contacted Orange and they are sending me out a new Sim Card.

Will be with me in about 3 days (no P800 for 3 days )

Cost £0.00

Got the Puk Code for my phone too incase of future trouble & keeping that 24/7 number to hand.

Hope the following advice helps other idiots.

Conclusion: Phone 07973 100 150 if on orange, and get your PUK unlock code. (case sorted) else

If your an idiot like me and have gone beyond the PUK then again phone the above number (if on orange). They will send out a new Sim Card by recorded delivery and as long as you send your old Sim back in the supplied free post envelope within 7 days it won't cost you a penny.
ps. Well thats what i was told.
pps. You will need to register the new Sim Card of course on

Just to clarify....

PUK is not on the phone, it's the SIM module's unlock code.

why did you enter the PUK code 10 times??
You thought you could guess the 8-digit code or something? Or you thought you entered the puk code wrong 9 times and had to try a 10th time to make sure?

I just gotta say.. I admire those who manage to enter their puk codes ten times wrong

if u were looking for your puk code its in the booklet that came with the sim card not with the phone its useuly attached to the page where the simcard is stuck on! i wouldnt advise typeing in numbers at will trying to guess the puk number

igleast u got a free simcard

(if u do ever need your puk and cant find it simply ring ur oporator they will ask for the phone number and a few questions like what is the number u phone often from your phone. and they will give u your puk code)
