SMS notice with display turned off? |

Hello
When you get an sms the screen lights up and the green LED flashes faster. But after a minute the flashing becomes normal again and after a few minutes the screen turns off again. I would like though to be able to see from a distance if i have a new msg or not. It would be enough if the LED would keep on flashingg faster than normal.
Is there some way that I can see if i got a new msg without having to switch the display on again of my P800?

You could disable power-save....
You'd use the battery faster but you'd always be able to see msgs/missed calls.

Hello
Yes but that isn't a very elegant solution. A faster flashing LED would be a better way. Don't know why Sony made it flash normal again after a minute.

Because, like no T9 and lack of support for Orange Line 2 in the UK, SE neglected some real basics cos they must have been concentrating a bit too hard on the more complex stuff. Plonkers!
However, we must make the best of what we have ...
One damn fine phone!

Yes it's such a great phone and I hope Sony is going to make it ultimate perfect by adding T9, delivery reports and maybe a visual "new message" option
You never know
