Hi guys, I was wondering if anyone knows to to use the link to the pc as a means to get on the Internet for the P800, if it is possible.

For example, the Compaq iPaq can go on the Internet using the link to the PC therefore not costing anything.

Why do I want to do this ??? Well its for software and website testing purposes. I don't want to have to have a huge bill when I can do it for nowt.

Thanks in advance.

Have browsed with Opera using Bluetooth or cradle when my PC is connected to internet so yes, it can work like the iPAQ.

Built in browser is more difficult to get working. Read somewhere here that you have to delete your GPRS accounts to get working (you can put them back latter). I would just use opera over Bluetooth - great laying on the settee while browsing via PC

when the p800 is in the cradle you can browse the internet on the p800 via ure PC's connection using either opera or the default browser. You dont have to change any settings as the p800 sync software should detect that an Internet connection is active.

it works for me....

edit:
@psikey grr.......

yes and u make tea by getting hot water, and pouring that in a cup with a "tea bag" in it, (u can add your own stuff like sugar or sweatners etc) and then stir and drink

DANGER: may be hot

When my phone is in its cradle, I can use Opera to browse the net.

I cannot use the built-in browser or check email (they both automatically switch to GPRS). Any ideas?

thats standard.

Only Opera / Reqwireless Browser and the wireless email client can do it...

Check my-symbian for them.
