From what Ive read no-one has said anything about the volume of the SMS tones! Presumable as they r customisable no-one has any problems with the alert tone!

Playing media is ok (a little quiet) but (IMHO) only one of the polyphonic ringtones is useable!!! (oldfashioned).

However, you can convert the sound to a wav, pull it into Windows sound recorder and increase the volume until you are happy - then convert it back to a .mid file.

Why convert it again to .midi .wav works on p800 doesnt it?

you can set WAV tones for SMS or email, etc.

I have the wonderful "Incoming Subspace Signal" playing when SMS or email arrives. It's a real head turner...

I find that the midi files being played on the P800 is kinda soft.
